About Me

Corinne Kerans, M.S. Biblical Counselor

With a Master's Degree and experience working as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I did not have the one true relationship I needed in order truly help people, the relationship with Jesus Christ. At age 31 (2010), I wholeheartedly gave my life to Jesus. Upon a radical transformation, the floodgates of opportunity opened; I could truly help others with their highest needs. Additionally, after living 30 years without Him and experiencing such contrast, there is nothing that surprises me! I am grateful for the The Institute of Biblical Counseling & Discipleship and for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors because through my training, I saw how superior and sufficient God's Word is for providing solutions to life's challenges. Sure! My former degree and experience helped me describe problems and patterns in those I was meeting with, but now being trained in God's Word, I am able to see clear perscriptions to struggles for everyone. And, I have seen first hand how much faster people change and find true joy with the Lord's help, than through any other means. It is my honor and my joy to be helping my sisters live out God's best life for them, for the sake of His name, and for the family of Christ.

Personal Life

God's Word is powerful!

In 2009 I met my husband on Match.com! I know, crazy right? Back then, I called myself a Christian, but still didn't quite grasp the gospel. I went to church on Christmas, sometimes on Easter. God used my husband to bring me to a place where I needed to make the Lord my top priority. We weren't married yet, and in fact we broke up as James stood firm on his foundation with Christ.

During our time apart, I sought for the Lord. Upon many tear-filled nights, I cried out to the Lord on my knees. He heard me! I was drawn to scripture, then a church. Over time, I reached back out to James and started to share my experiences. He was suspicious. It wasn't until I used God's Word (rather than my words) to speak to James did he really listen to me. And the first time I did that, I'll never forget, James fell to his knees before me and before God and requested forgiveness. We were eventually baptized and then married in 2011.  Oh how powerful is God's Word! Jesus came to reconcile us to Himself and He is still reconciling us to one another today!

I'll never forget the value and power of speaking His Word into the lives of others!

Today, we attend Grace Point Church San Diego, which is located in Carmel Valley. It is a wonderful church home and I highly recommend it!
